The Monster Energy AUS-X Open Sydney is one of the largest Supercross, Freestyle Motocross and Action Sports events in the world!
One of Australia’s most sort after indoor venues, Qudos Bank Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Park is transformed into a man-made dirt battlefield, for the world’s best dirt bike gladiators to go for glory for one incredible night of racing action.
Current World Supercross Champion Jason Anderson will lock horns with the greatest Australian dirt bike rider of all time, Chad Reed, on home soil this November 9 and 10.
Anderson recently claimed the most prestigious crown in off-road motorcycling, by wrapping up the 2018 Monster Energy and FIM World Championship crown, in Las Vegas. He will be looking to defend his AUS-X Open crown which saw the 25-year-old American dominate last year’s event at Qudos Bank Arena.
Two-time World Champion Reed will also go head-to-head with four-time World Champion Ryan Villopoto, with the American keen to take down the Aussie hero Reed, in the ultimate battle between World Champions, racing together for the first time since the 2016 AUS-X Open.
With seven World Championships between them – Anderson, Reed and Villopoto will also line up at the gate against current world number five and Australian Supercross Champion Justin Brayton (USA), as well as superstar Justin Barcia (USA) plus a whole host of riders from Australia and the USA, in a recipe for one of the greatest Supercross races this season.
Freestyle Motocross athletes will also once again push the realms of possibility, attempting the biggest and best stunts ever seen on two wheels, in the FMX Best Trick competition.
Featuring live music and entertainment, giveaways, stunning pyrotechnics and more; the AUS-X Open is an entertainment extravaganza for all ages. There’s plenty of surprises yet to be announced, so stay tuned.
